As a direct link to professional karting, the ADAC Touring Car Junior Cup has quickly established itself in German motorsport: GT4-level technology, no driving aids and professional data logging - so the youngsters learn to perfectly apply in the car exactly what they have already learned in karting.

The ADAC Touring Car Junior Cup not only makes the step out of karting and into motor racing easier, it also makes it clever: The young motorsport drivers need a stage on which they can be seen. This is the case in the ADAC Tourenwagen Junior Cup series with it's short sprint races. The costs of the still young career can always be kept in view: A reasonable purchase price for the vehicle, fixed and predictable fees for entry and registration and cup-internal special prices from the series and technical partners ensure an attractive overall package in the professional environment of the ADAC Racing Weekend.

After one or two years of training in the ADAC Touring Car Junior Cup, the drivers are usually sufficiently trained for a professional cockpit in touring car, GT or prototype racing and can not only meet the requirements of a professional team in the next higher league, but often exceed them.

The costs of a national karting season (e.g. ADAC Regional or DKM) must be calculated for the season budget. The specific costs depend on various factors, e.g. the number of test missions, the scope of support of the team or the use of an own vehicle. The technical and sporting regulations of the ADAC Touring Car Junior Cup are designed in such a way that cars entered by the drivers themselves also have 100% equal chances of success.

A season on your own, with the use of your own vehicle, can be realized from around EUR 25,000. A full arrive & drive service in the team should be calculated from EUR 45.000 upwards. Additional information can be found in the Participant info and the Vehicle brochure.

The vehicles are constantly monitored technically. All performance-relevant components, such as the entire powertrain and the engine control unit, are sealed and the software is encrypted. The engine control units can be interchanged if necessary. In addition, the number of tires used per season is limited. For registered teams/participants the use of the vehicle is only allowed in the ADAC Tourenwagen Junior Cup series. A scrutineering kit, which is mandatory for all participants, monitors additional performance-relevant vehicle data in parallel to the data logging, which can be viewed at any time by the technical commissioners and the series organization.
In addition, the vehicle offers useful but limited adjustment options for training, so that in the end it is basically the driver's performance that counts.

The series organization will announce official test days before the season. Testing is prohibited on the respective track during the week of the event, but so-called "Thursday tests" are possible at most events. "Thursday tests" are possible at most events before the race event officially begins on Friday. In general, there is no test ban.
